October 24th 2016. The date that may be my unravelling. The date I signed up to the 2017 London Marathon…
As a kid I used to watch in awe, eyes glued to the television screen, as swathes of people participated in this unholy annual spectacle. In more recent years I have done my fair share of lining the streets of London to support friends in their bid to complete what I still believe to be an unholy spectacle. The London Marathon has always fascinated me.
I want to know the feeling of turning the final corner onto the Mall and closing down the finish line. I want to know what it is like to actually commit to something. I want to know if my nipples will fall off. Maybe I have just been sucked into the hype. Either way it is time to find out.
Ok. So. I am a bloke. I am 29 years old. I am 1.72m in height and weigh 90kg. I moved to London after finishing University and have called it home for the last 5 years. I enjoy going to the pub and cycling. In 2015 I took a year out to go travelling. I have previously run three half-marathons.
